The report of the 2018 activities in the Pastoralism Initiative is online now.
Project Partner Meeting
13 partners, resonsibel for different aspects of the projet met in Oslo in April 2018.
Outcomes:
- Identification of and agreement on research questions and approach
- Plans for two publications:
- ‘Perspectives note’ presenting a framework to study sustainability of pastoralism
- ‘Horizon scanning’ to identify knowledge gaps
- Identification of other necessary researchers/experts to be invited to second meeting
New Initiative: Sustainable Pastoralism and Human Well-Being
The new inititive "Future Earth initiative on Pastoralism: a global comparative research programme" launched in July 2017. The initiative will prepare a new scientific programme for future transnational research with the aid of the IUBS and their ordinary and scientific members.
