Young scientists taking part in meetings, workshops and conferences within the IUBS scientific programmes are welcome to apply for conference support, if organized in IUBS member countries. The topics of the conference should be in relation with the topics and aims of IUBS.

26th International Diatom Symposium postponed due to the pandemic

The '26th International Diatom Symposium' to be organized in Japan, has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and could be organized in 2021 online, probably on August 23rd to 25th. The conference is supported by IUBS and IUBS also sponsors the participation of young scientists in it.

Participation of Young Scientists in 4th Science Forum

IUBS sponsored the participation of 4 young scientists in the 4th Science Forum organized during the COP 14  on 23-24 November 2018 in Egypt. Renu Kumari from India, Sameh Hamdy Soror, Mai Abdelmoaz Allam and Mohamed Ezzat Abdelhack, from Egypt actively participated in the forum by facilitating the group discussions during the 2 days.
