26th International Diatom Symposium postponed due to the pandemic

The '26th International Diatom Symposium' to be organized in Japan, has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and could be organized in 2021 online, probably on August 23rd to 25th. The conference is supported by IUBS and IUBS also sponsors the participation of young scientists in it.

Colloque COFUSI commémoratif du centenaire

2019 is the centenary year of IUBS, IUA, IUPAC, IUGG and URSI whose first presidents were all French and members of the Académie des sciences. The COFUSI organized an interdisciplinary colloquium at the Academy.

Yvon Le Maho was the representative of IUBS and made a presentation on “Nature as a source of biomedical innovation”.

2019 is the centenary year of IUBS, IUA, IUPAC, IUGG and URSI whose first presidents were all French and members of the Académie des sciences. The COFUSI organized an interdisciplinary colloquium at the Academy.

In order to celebrate the creations in 1919 of IUBS, IUA, IUPAC, IUGG and URSI, for which the Academy of Sciences played a major role, COFUSI organized, under the impetus of its Centennial Committee of these Unions, at the Academy of Sciences, a commemorative Colloquium between these disciplines.
